Helping Hands Hawaii is proud to announce our 2015 Ready to Learn Community Partners: KITV, American Savings Bank and Fantastic Sams – Kahala Mall, Windward Mall, McCully Shopping Center and Hawaii Kai Towne Center.
It is only with the support of organizations like these that we are able to assist so many of Hawaii’s children. They are committed to advancing the educational opportunities of local students and are dedicated to supporting the Ready to Learn program.
During the summer, KITV focuses on the needs of school-aged children through its annual School Tools campaign. Join us on Sunday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Honolulu Walmart and Sam’s Club on Keeaumoku St. for a fun-filled school supply drive.
Staff from KITV (including on-air talent) and Helping Hands Hawaii will collect donations and raise awareness about the struggles facing low-income and homeless students. Radio partners 93.1 Paina and 102.7 Da Bomb will also be on-site with a prize wheel and giveaways.
All contributions that are raised through the School Tools campaign will be donated to Helping Hands Hawaii’s Ready to Learn program. KITV has been a long-time Community Partner and has enthusiastically supported the Ready to Learn program throughout the years.
American Savings Bank
American Savings Bank is a new Community Partner, and we welcome its support of the Ready to Learn program. With branches on the Big Island, Kauai, Maui, Molokai and Oahu, ASB will enable statewide collection of school supplies and monetary donations for Ready to Learn. Donations will be accepted at all branches from June 15 to July 15 during normal business hours.
All of the donations that are collected at neighbor island branches will stay on the island upon which it was collected. This means your donation will benefit students in your neighborhood and equip them with tools to help them learn. Donors should reference “Helping Hands Hawaii” when dropping off school supplies or making a monetary gift at the branch.
Helping Hands Hawaii is happy to welcome another first-time Community Partner, Fantastic Sams at Kahala Mall, Windward Mall, McCully Shopping Center and Hawaii Kai Towne Center. These salons will collect school supplies and monetary donations for the Ready to Learn program from June 1 to July 31 during normal business hours.
As an added benefit to patrons, these Fantastic Sams locations will take $3 off regularly priced haircuts for anyone who makes a donation to the Ready to Learn program. Contact one of these Fantastic Sams salons for more details.
Mahalo to KITV, American Savings Bank and Fantastic Sams at Kahala Mall, Windward Mall, McCully Shopping Center and Hawaii Kai Towne Center for their support of island keiki through the Ready to Learn program! If you would like to become a Community Partner, contact James at 440-3812.
