HEMIC Donates Nearly 2,000 Slippers to the Community Clearinghouse

Yesterday HEMIC donated 1,800 pairs of new slippers to our Community Clearinghouse! Support like this is vital to building strong communities, and our clients will truly benefit from their generosity.

So, how did HEMIC end up with so many slippers? The footwear had been used as props in a recent HEMIC commercial. But, after the filming was done, HEMIC was left with so many boxes of slippers that they almost took up an entire office! That’s when Anthology Marketing Group introduced them to us, and we’re so grateful for this connection.

Clients who seek services from the Community Clearinghouse are low-income or homeless individuals and families. They struggle to afford basic necessities, such as clothing and household items. Footwear is one of the items that are frequently requested, and often clients walk into the Community Clearinghouse with no footwear at all.

This donation from HEMIC will uplift our clients’ spirits as well as provide them with a little bit of protection against injuries and the elements. If you or your organization is interested in making a donation to our Community Clearinghouse, please call 440-3800 for details.
