YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO JOIN US IN HONORING

HEATHER LUSK, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, THE CHOW PROJECT
Heather communicates, acts, and serves in ways that mirror the core values we have at Helping Hands Hawai`i. She works with us and the community to support some of the most vulnerable individuals in Hawai`i, those who struggle with mental illness and/or addiction and are also challenged by poverty and homelessness. Heather’s interactions with our teams, as well as with the larger homeless services provider and stakeholder network, have always focused on collaboration, compassion, non-territorialness, and a true desire to do what’s right. She is solutions-based in her contributions and is focused on ways to move forward as a community. Heather is fierce, takes risks and understands that sometimes you have to fall and get up again to learn new lessons and keep moving forward.

ROTARY DISTRICT 5000
With 100 years of giving back to Hawai`i, Rotary District 5000 continues to be a shining example of what it means to make a difference in your community. Year after year, Rotarians in more than 50 Clubs throughout the State have contributed thousands of volunteer hours, supplies and monetary donations; awarded hundreds of community grants to organizations in all areas of focus; and provided leadership and guidance by serving on non-profits boards. All of these efforts have helped to improve the lives of Hawai`i’s residents, some of whom are amongst the most vulnerable. Rotarians from numerous O`ahu Clubs have contributed to Helping Hands Hawai`i by volunteering and donating to projects ranging from facilities improvement to program-specific assistance. Rotary Clubs across the State have had a significant and positive impact on the lives of individuals we serve and continue to lead the way toward social change through volunteerism.
